Question knocking sound!!!!

how do, wonder if any one can help me, iv got a slight problem that doe'snt want to go away no matter what my mate and i do.
Iv got a knocking sound that seem's to be coming from the pasanger side suspension and we can't seem to figure it out.
And trust me when i say that we have had the whole lot off trying to find the problem, and we still can't find it.
Every things tight thats for sure, do you think it could be the exhaust knocking against the under side or not as this is the only thing that we can think off thats making the noise.
any suggestions would be very gratefull.

Can u be bit more detailed about the noise like does it increase/decrease on different roads and speeds?
If you think its the exhaust, have u checked the bushes?

sounds like the dreaded rear strut issue.....If it is, this is a common fault with them. I have a 04 sti with 16k miles on the clock and passenger side is knocking also. If you jack the car up and use something to move the rear wheel in question up and down you can see that there is play in the internal shock bushes. slight side to side movement when the strut is moving up and down.
There is alot of posts on the subject on this site.

Hope this helps

Default Possibly the camber.

After I read this the knocking could come from your camber rod inner bolt as mine did the same, I took it back to the dealer after my camber checks and they FORGOT to tighten the adjusting cam nut and bolt assembly back up! Hope this helps.
