&&&& STI Suspensions &&&&

I intended the dampers and springs on the wrx sti MY02 imported in Europe (265 hp). These should be better compared to the grey imports, that are developed for Japanese "city" conditions. I ownn a wrx 01 PPP and wanted improve handling, diminish load transfer and eliminate understeer. The tests on Top Gear and Evo (last issue), prove that this attitudes are improved. Therefore I'm starting considering Sti suspensions as a replacement of the originals. I live in England but I i go often in Italy where roads are little smoother. I also don't want Leda or modifying just the springs.

As far as I'm aware, the STi Type UK will have the same suspension as comes on the Jap Spec STi 7. Anybody out there know different?
In fact, the STi Type UK is basically the same car as the Jap Spec.... (I think)
Matt
P.S. If you're going to spend that kind of money on suspension replacement, you should really get adjustable dampers....

I am running with the MY01 STI springs and struts (Subaru sports suspension option). The car does handle very well in most conditions, but it does have a tendency to skitter around a bit over bad/broken roads. Its a pretty firm setup. I was debating whether it would be worth moving to the Prodrive springs instead.

I have a MY99 STi that used to suffer from STi twitch - the horrible skittering feeling that you get at the back end.
On these cars a brilliant fix is the solid rear ARB links - dead cheap - easy to fit - superb difference - completely planted no twitchy skitter - ask anyone who went in my car tonight
Don't know if the same issue occurs on Bugeyes - worth checking out.

It depends what you mean by a "full kit". The springs and dampers retail for £699 inc VAT via a Subaru main dealer, but this kit does not include the aluminium A arms and enhanced bushings. If you want the full kit then the best place I am aware of is Subaruparts in the USA where it works out at around £1000 without VAT.
As Matt says, why? The ride on the STi suspension is way too hard for the potholes that are linked by tarmac that laughingly are known as roads in Blairs' Britain. Perhaps the roads are better where you are?

Edited to add that I ought to learn to read the question before replying! The above refers to the STi sports suspension option for the WRX. I do not know what is fitted to the STi Type UK.
