Thumbs up Lowering classics

Help!

Cant decide which springs to buy for my classic! (MY99 WRX)

So far ive been considering...
  • H&R's - 50mm
  • Whiteline Flat outs - 40mm
  • Tein S - 35mm
  • GMax - 35mm
  • Pi - 35mm
  • Avo's - 35mm
If i have to be honest I wouldnt mind having the lowest available.

Ive heard the H&R's are -50mm but is that only for non-turbo'd models, which equates to around -35mm on turbo'd classics. Is this true?

Does anyone know which sit the lowest out of all mentioned above ??

Ive been told the GMax springs sit quite low along with the Avo's?

Feel free to post pics too

Yes this is true, the ride height is just right with H&R springs IMO, i went for Eibach's on mine, they quote a 30mm drop but it's more like 15mm (since been replaced with coilovers)

I'll be fitting some Eibachs to mine on April 23rd. Im hoping it'll drop more than 15mm, but we'll see. I wont be hugely disappointed if it only drops that much though.

Out of the choices, Id got with Tein or Whiteline Flat-outs.

I use Eibachs and they're not much of a drop but they're a much better ride and can still handle very fast cross country driving, which a lower setup wouldn't.

I used Whiteline Flatouts on mine 'cos they're a trusted brand and they're also mid-price too.

lowered 35mm at the front but only about 10-15mm at the back, giving a squarer, flatter look. I imagine it would lower the Turbo more, having a heavier engine. The rides pretty good too, not the bone-shaking experience you get with other lowering springs.

I went for the H&R -50mm springs on my sport and the car sights just right. Nice and level. Mine are mated to KYB's and the ride is loverly.

I measured the ride height and it was 630mm front and 630mm rear on 16" alloys.

Had Eibachs fitted yesterday, it barely looks lower. Some people say they'll settle though, so I'll wait a while before making any conclusions.

Nice. What are they like to drive with? I'm considering Whiteline Flatouts.

Demon Tweeks, almost certain Revolution are stocking Whiteline items now, only 2 I can think of at the moment.

seem quite cheap they do. i was also thinking of eibachs, but as i have 17"s not 18"s i was looking at an actual 30 mm drop not really a 15mm drop.

but i suppose with mudflaps on it looks lower anyway, imho anyway.
