I've Been Busy Again.
Well such a nice weekend it had to be done
Just a few quick pics on the driveway from me today.... spent the last 2 days on the car
Firstly a massive thank you to Matt from OFF YOUR MARKS | FINISHING for detailing my car a few weeks back on a GB that Kev had arranged the swirls and light scratches I had are no more after Matt's paint correction treatment. It was a very long day and Matt never stopped for a minute... the car is transformed you need to see it to believe it a complete rotary polish.
I've also had my front Brembo's fitted by Andy from ace Motorsport... we hope to have the rears along with braided hoses and new fluid very shortly, now the car stops but it will be even better when the full package is on.
Another top man to deal with
Right here are a couple from the detail a couple of weeks back...
This is today after a light Swissol, also I've had the wheels off and giving them a coat of Poorboys Sealant... Si you will be pleased to know I have at last cleaned the inner arches out and given the trim a coating of plastic treatment
The original front brakes...
The new ones
There we go do Rota GRA's fit over Brembo's Yes
How's that gang

Another car that just gets better and better.
You'll be well pleased with the brakes Si, It took me a while to get used to the new stopping distances when I had mine done, I'd be coming to a stop a good 100yards from roundabouts etc!!!!!!
SIDC are after some best examples for the stand at japfest and Scoobyshootout, You'd get my vote

Thanks gents
Danny the difference is quite an eye opener... I can't wait now to get the rears on and then the old bus will really stop
Wait until you see the paintwork at the next meet it's quite something
I need the engine cleaned now though... it all looks great until you open the bonnet I seem to be on a different sort of Rollercoaster here

This may sound a bit daft but are you going to paint the calipers? I know that Brembos are distinguishable by their gold colour but and they look awesome but I just think they would look so much better a different colour on DBM.

Red would have been my colour of choice but I must admit to liking the Gold
I'm enjoying the choice of words there Frayz
I was going to hold back and wait until the rears were on before doing these new pics but after seeing how well it looks after this weekends clean I could not resist a few shots. You will have to endure more soon for the rear fitment

It was your started Saturday finished Wednesday comment Schu I thought I better get busy as we have Coombe on the 21st of this month
No painted arches just a good de-grease and wash followed with some plastic trim stuff.... I do like the Red but for the time being Gold is the colour.
The brackets for the rears are being Anodised as we speak... a spare set of handbrake shoes have been enlarged ready so it's just a matter of time

si
well you have done it again
I knew that you have been waiting for ages for the brembos to come together and after looking at the pics, it all makes the wait worthwhile
Dont worry, your english brethern havent been sitting around idle, I too have been busy, will post up some pics later
One thing I do miss though, is the opportunity to get my hands on one of those PC, just for a day . Gave the car a really good clean yersterday and even though it looks , I can see the cobwebbing like mad
Keep it up mate

Cheers Chris even though mine always looked clean when you actually looked into the paint it was very swirlled with lots of scratches from previous owners. Matt initially tried the PC on it but it would not touch it and ended up going over the whole car with a rotary tool instead.. it was a long skilled job.
Before..
After..
Here's an earlier shot showing the clearance..
Next job
