Not bad at all - a bit more noise, but the turn-in and response to steering inputs is so much better it is amazing - do the steering rack mounts at the same time for full benefit

ARBs & endlinks will be next on your list if you've not already done them

Cheers

Hi ric. Email is down because vizzavi are crap
I already have the Alcon/Prodrive kit, but thanks anyway.

Spoke to a Subaru expert (i.e ex works cheif mechanic) and he said that a car is setup to have lift and dive. And if I made a mod to change the lift this would have to effect the dive in a negative mannor. He asked me... what would happen when you get no rebound??
He said it would make the car like a go kart and would be good for drag racing but poor for normal fast road driving...

any comments?

I knocked a couple of seconds off my lap times at my fav circuit after the mod, various buddies waiting delivery of the kits after being very surprised by the effects...nuff said.

I did the anti lift kit together with the bumb steering mod. (Power station) Don't tell me it's to far away, I went there from Paris. It is great and it is not turning you car into a Go Cart.
My whife can't feel the different. If I understand thinks correctly, the anti lift kit lower the suspention arm and add a bit more castor. More Castor will give you more camber when you turn the wheels.
Think of a bike front wheels, when you turn it you get camber, it's called dynamic camber. You will get a better turn in because you will get more negative dynamic camber on the outside front wheel. Negative Dynamic camber is in my opinion better than the normal static negative camber, you do not need the negative camber when you drive in a straight line, only when you turn in. best regards Lars

I have the AntiLiftKit and my car has started to produce a metallic noise coming from the front-left wheel when the car is moving. The car is more pronounce when turning either way.

Does this sound like the joint near the wheel?

Could the AntiLiftKit be responsible for posing extreme stress at the joint? Take into account that I already have -1.25 camber.

Hi DMEl
That's true!
I read it in a previous thread, can't remember exactly, but is true (although no personal experience on this).

I have used the anti lift on both my previous car (STi 2 Wagon) and current car which is STi 5. On both cars, with the appropriate adjustments to geometry, it made a significant difference to handling in particular turn in. Currently running with 1 deg 40 minutes of neg camber on the front of the car with 0.05 deg toe in per side, 1 deg 20 minutes neg on the rears with 0.03 deg toe in per side. Have also added uprated front and rear roll bars, solid rear drop links and uprated strut braces on front and rear of the car.

Go Kart is exactly how I would describe it except its absolutely predictable and very precise and stable with minimal body roll, very "flickable" thro' bends. My "Quik Rack" also helps.

Plantie, I have a 22B steering rack fitted in the car now, being a faster ratio it makes the car even more "chuckable" in the corners but doesn't suffer from the tramlining that 22B's tend to have due to their bigger tyres. It was an expensive experiment but has turned out very well. Extremely well balanced now that I have sorted out the geometry.
