hi sam im following your posts with interest as i bought my sti a little before you and want similar mods.
i had tein springs fitted to my 02 wrx last year which i would definitely reccomend. they dropped the car about 30mm rear and 45front thats what i was told. i bought mine from abp motorsport in crewe and they fitted them and adjusted the alignment etc. they did a cracking job but in total 390.00.
have you asked about the insurance increase as mine went up about 200.00 but that was with tesco.
im now with keith michaels and wonder if i had them fitted how much would it increase if at all.

Wow...£200 increase...
I have not asked them actually will do tomorrow, however they only wanted £20 extra for the 19" Wheels that i put on and was hoping they will need there abouts for the springs...will call them tomorrow..
I was told by PowerEngneering the drop was 35mm on the front and 25mm on the rears.... How low does your car sit? Is the ride good?
Reason i decided on Tein Springs was the fact that the drop on the front is more then the rear, as I can’t stand the gap between the arch and the tyre on the front...looks silly!
I do not want to spend too much money on the car, as i lost way too much on my last Scooby...so will be getting my Mechanic to help me fit them, costing £50 then the tracking costing again near £50 (i think)
Pics tooo small...

Sam, the Whiteline springs retail at just under £160/set including the VAT, OK so you may still need delivery if you can't source locally (which I'm sure you can) that but they're cheaper than the Teins.

Watch out for lowering the front too much on a new age sti, it will be running on the std bump stops. You can't see the stops cos they are inside the strut, so be very careful.
The prodrive springs come with shorter bump stops for this very reason, if you keep the std stops you WILL be running on the bump stop in corner.
