Whiteline pack+ Prodrive WR, 1st impressions
#1
Fitted the Whiteline handling package after my Bhp went up to 270 as car was rolling and weight transferring rather abruptly.
Kit included front 22mm ARB, rear adjustable 22m ARB,AntiLiftKit, camber adjustment bolts for the rear. Also ordered solid rear and front ARB links and rear heavy duty ARB mounts.
Parts arrived by ordinary post took almost a month. All parts in good order (a quality kit) with polyurethane bushing allround even with sachets of special grease for the bushes. Instruction comprehensive bar the heavy duty mounts that had no instructions.
Ease of fitment was excellent all dimensions correct no need for undue forcing.
NVH increase bare minimum chnges in all three departments just sligthly more higher frequecy vibrations replacing the previous lower freq, no doubt because of solid links and bushes.
On the road i have yet to do a full day's test but first impressions are 1. less body roll 2.more predictable weight transfer and no subsequnt oscillations as car straightens from bend 3. Sharper turn in with more steering "feel" 4. A degradation in straight line stability (which was excessive for my taste anyway)4.Power oversteer more prominent
Think it was worth it overall

Jza,
Powerstation sell the whiteline kit
including uprated front and rear
anti roll bars for the MY01
(at least when they offered them
up to my car they were sure they would fit)

Personally ARBs, end links and ALK.
Worked wonders for Imprezas and Legacys in our group.
But you may find that you'll be after upgraded dampers and springs soon afterwards as warp speed cornering becomes more common (on the track of course ).

Dimitri,
Depends what you think you want to fix/dislike. On a modest budget i would go for the
ALK if you think the car understeers under power
ARBs and links for body roll and turn-in understeering
I would change springs with dampers together by principle as damping and stiffness must be matched
If u like give me a call on 0977234800 to meet and drive my car to see if u like the setup.

After alignment using 1.25 deg front camber and doing about 150 km of "lively" b-road driving here's some 2nd impressions.
Harshness is up especially on potholes as the suspension lost some of its independency but not that annoying no crash-banging.
Steering is more lively (i think because os thicker front ARB).
Car suprisingly felt more or less as before but more firm ! Body roll was down but not as much as i expected on hard cornering.
And then I looked at the tacho...
Greater cornering speeds all-round! Thus more lateral force thus car rolled a bit. IMHO i have just a bit less body roll at limit *but* the limit (my limit, cant dare find the car's) is higher, stupid exit speeds now.

Dimitri, if you are changing/uprating one thing at a time, the uprated struts will make the most noticeable difference in all around handling.
