Horrendous Metal against Metal noise
Afteroon,
When turning right on full lock - ie in a car park.
There is a metal / metal scraping noise, nothing the other way, nothing in reverse nothing at any other time.
It does not seem to be the caliper, as in theory this should do it going backwards aswell
What do we think ?
Wheel bearings ?
Thank you
Del

If it is a CV and it is that noisey there will be considerable play in the joint so you can track it down to which is the culptiy.
You will need to get the offending shaft off the car, so being heavy handed will be an advantage...
To replace the shaft/CV you may find it better to get a second-hand unit and swop them over.
I think CV failure is rare.
