Default Rubbing the wheel arch

I have recently bought a WRX wagon and after a couple of weeks of ownership the rear nearside wheel has started rubbing really badly over bumps, dips and left hand cornering. It's been lowered a lot but i have seen lower scoobs that don't rub. Is there anything I can do or will I have to buy some eibachs , or something not as low and raise the back of the car up a bit?

Does the car have aftermarket wheels?

Yes - but they are only 16s and have the ssame tyre on that the Subaru wheels had on. They have got spacers to push them out a bit.

They have got spacers to push them out a bit.

It's not rocket science.

Try it without the spacers or get wheels with the proper offset for a scoob and you'll be well "sorted".

I thought the spacers just made them the right space for the Scoob though?!?

And the wheels oly started rubbing very recently!

I will try them without the spacers and see what that does though.

Have you changed the tyres recently?
Tyre shapes are different from make to make for the same spec.
I agree with Fuzz, remove the spacers.

Graham.

Not changed the tyres - I will have a go at removing the spacers at the weekend and see if it's better.
