Basically they increase the functionality of the roll bar by forcing the roll bar to do more work as aftermarket ones do not squash as much therefore that extra force can be used to keep the car straight through corners etc.
I payed £40 for my Heavy duty Whiteline items.
Great Mod....

Hi Sam,
I got a full set of front and rear Whiteline solid droplinks from demontweeks for about £75 delivered next day. Well worth it IMHO. Easy to fit and probably one of the first things I would do to a Scoob.
I went for front & rear and it feels nicely balanced. I dont think I would just do the rears. You can get flashy powerflex alloy ones for twice the price but they get covered in crap in no time and do the same job in anycase.
Good mod, no loss in ride comfort at all, sharpens handling, car stays flatter. Do it, money well spent.
By the way, theres never any on ebay to save you looking...
PS Bought any tyres yet? Daz

Be aware that the alloy powerflex ones hit the control bar in most cases and knocking ensues..
Powerstation sell the whiteline steel "wire" ones for £38 and the whiteline alloy ones (which don't foul )for £60.
