Rear Knocking Noise
Hey there people, just got a quick enquiry.
Basically my suspension has been lowered around 25-30mm not sure wot the set up is, as it came from japan like it.
But there is a knocking noice coming from the rear right side and its starting to irritate the hell out of me.
A mate who had a scooby before, said that when he changed his set up with coilover his was knowcking too and was advised that it wasnt dangerous.
Please can anyone suggest what could be up with it? as i need to fix the noise otherwise im gonna go mad
Cheers
Trung

Is it a classic or a newage?
My classic was doing this and it turned out to be the rear anti roll bar bushes (ones that go around the bar and are secured to under side of car). £6 and 20 minutes later the noise has gone!

Sounds the same as mine was, I got mine from Subaru - dont know how you would stand with an import but I can get you the part number if you like - they only cost £6 for the pair. There are only 2 bolts to undo (one each side) half hour job max.
You can also get uprated ones from the likes of Proflex etc... but they are more expensive.
Apparently it is a common problem according to the SIDC FAQ.
I thought mine were ok until I comapred the new ones to the old and there was about a 1mm difference where the old ones had worn
