Default New Bearings for Leda Suspension

Any body got any ideas where I can get replacement top mount bearings for Leda struts, I've tried Leda direct but they won't sell the bearings on their own you have to send the full strut to them to get serviced

Any suggestions?

Cheers

I was hoping to get the struts sorted in the same day by just replacing the bearings, but leda are quoting a 2 week turnaround for the struts to be serviced, which means taking the leda's off puting on my old struts then doing the same again in 2 weeks when I eventually get the struts back from leda, too much hassle, there must be somewhere that I can get replacement bearings.

Anybody?

Doesn't the Ledas use then standard top mounts? Or are these modified to suit? If not them your dealer will be able to get the bearings.

Yes Tony, we modify the original top mounts on an '01 or classic, not to the '03 though. We use standard top mounts on the fronts of all models.

If you want a service on the struts, we can do that by either you sending them back to us (which will mean the car is off the road) or by booking in, when we can do the work within a day.

If its top mounts you want, we don't stock them, however with a chassis number, we can order them for you.

Regards,
Beverley (Leda)

Beverley,

I've got the top mounts, its just the bearings that I need, as I'm in Glasgow booking the car in to have in done is a problem as well.

Is there no way I can buy just they bearings?

Cheers

I should have guessed from your forum name!!
Sorry, but we don't stock the bearings.

I'm sure someone on here will know where to get them from.

I've checked with Subaru, but they don't sell the bearings on their own, you have to buy the full top mount.

Beverley, when you say that you modify the Subaru what do you do to them, if I get a Subaru set will they go straight on?

Scott,
Fronts for all years will go straight on.

Rears for the Classic shape, and the 03 on will go straight on, however if you have the 01/02 model then you will need to have us modify them for you (we would be able to turn them around within a day or 2).

Kind Regards,
Andy
