Exclamation

I guess this is really a message for Mike Wood (if you're about Mike)..

...there was a little rumour that Prodrive had some new springs for the MY01 (??) UK300 etc...

a few quick questions

1) is this true?
2) if so when are they available?
3) in which case what sort of cost?
4) and I guess finally....how much would they lower the car (25mm?? approx) and do you think it would benefit the handling?

Thanks Tom

Have a look at this thread. Mike put a reply at the bottom to stop bad rumours.

One comment on this...

Mike DIDNT say they WERENT going to use a "tweeked" version of eibachs - just that they werent going to respray the old ones.

So wait a bit and see if they use eibachs (as the rumour from "official sources" suggests they are doing) and then get them from an eibach supplier rather than paying the Prodrive + IM markup!!

On a personal note - they'd have to be bloody cheap for me to spend more over and above the eibachs ive got for my MY01!

I will wait with interest for further news on the Prodrive kit... hopefully it will be out for Xmas....

In the meantime, it seems everyone here seems happy with the Eibachs handling wise. Has anyone posted a pic in the members gallery of a MY01 with Eibachs, to see the visual difference. I've had a look and cant find one.

Cheers

Mark

Had mine done on Wednesday at TSL

Result

1. Lowering about 20-25mm. Couple of people noticed but you only really notice it when it sits next to another MY01

2. Handling . WOW what an improvement Graham took me out for a run before and after on a strech of road he knew very well and you could notice the difference as a passenger
Now I've got home and tried it on local roads I really do appreciate the difference

I'm just of to put my new Oz Super L's on clean it the WW treatment and I'll post some pic's tonight

Theo

Thats thanks to you

Tom

I had the eibachs fitted and geometry adjusted by TSL for £300(+VAT)

eibachs supply only are about £150

It was well worth the day out at Graham and Pauls place

Still waiting for my Scoobysport Spoiler but WHEN it comes in and they colour code the sills I'm going to ask them to quote to do that
