TOW BAR..... "Yes I know"
#1
I'm leaving myself WIDE open with this one!
Anyone ever "Removed" a Towbar from a Wagon? I need to rid my Scoob of this extra weight ( put on by the previous owner and never used ). It looks straight forward when you gander underneath, but Iv'e a horrible feeling, the rear silencer and the rear bumper have got to come off too. The Bar is a Witter and I suspect it was fitted at a main dealer, as it's a pretty prof. looking job. Anyone ever done it before?

Hi Mixit, straight forward job, you dont have to take the bumper off, or the silencer, just take of the 3 rubber hangers and let it hang down!!!! The rest of the bolts you can see remove, Although the rear most one does go right through into the boot so you will need some grommets or similar to block the holes up. The electrics should be easy, with a multi plug behind the left hand rear light access panel. Have fun!!!!
