Hi,

I know that MRT have surplus stocks of DMS gold 40mm Suspension which are a fully adjustable coilover setup and are the dogs danglies when it comes to suspension kits.

If you want the full lowdown on these kits look on www.mrtrally.com.au

Normally they retail about £1680+ VAT but I reckon I can get them a LOT cheaper, like just over a grand plus VAT if we get 5 or more together.

Mail me if interested and I'll see what I can sort out.

Cheers

Rich

Edcase,

The sets are different for 01- cars and they are a bit more expensive. I can try to get a good price on them, but it won't be as good as the 93-00 models.

The 50mm's are WELL pricey. Retail is over £2grand plus VAT. Dunno if they've got surplus of those. I'll have to find out.

Cheers

Im thinking I should maybe get fully adjustable. The eibachs are only height adjustable not damping etc.

Nothings ever simple

Rich,

Do you know how often these have to be serviced? do they need to be sent back to Aus for the service? anyone on this Forum running these so we can get an idea of what they are like compared to Leda etc..

No idea how often they have to be serviced.

Would imagine it depends on how hard they are used, but you can buy service kits for them, so they don't have to go back to Aus.

I know Mellow Yellow had these on his P1 and he tracked it to death, so they should last a good while before they need servicing.

Would be nice to get an opinion from someone using them, most probably wouldn't have heard of DMS. Obviously those that know won't need an appraisal hence their named already listed here. We need more enthusiasm here to get the price down

Paul,

I'm with you on this, not knowing much about coilovers and hearing a lot of negative views on the cheaper ones I really would like to hear someone's opinion on these before I commited to buying them.

YOur quite right about needing some more customer referals about these. I have taken the plunge and will be getting mine in a couple of weeks, so I won't be able to tell you till then, but form the cost point of view they may be cheap in the group buy, but they aren't normally, so the quality should be good.

Rich,

Can I suggest that you get MRT to confirm the build dates of the kits, and then check with Jamie Drummond if there are any issues.

I know that there have been some issues with certain build dates (IIRC stiction problems, that have been addressed).

Just "incase" someone's looking to dump said stock into the UK.

I was offered a load of the 40mm VERY cheap, but it turned out to be the kits that needed sorting out.

Mark.

I contacted in the past Jamie Drummond for a set of DMS Gold 40 and what told me is that their last version (3) haven't any issues like before (sealing problems etc) and local dealer as many friends with the above setup confirmed it!
What is more important IMO is that this suspension is the best compromise between comfort and performance if you set it up right for your needs, very responsive to different adjustments, inserts are Bilstein made with a huge 40mm up side down piston while springs are DMS (or MRT/Whiteline as they have their own spec springs)!

I've been using the 40mm Gold kit for a couple of years but very low miles. Excellent in my opinion but check the spring rates.

Hi,

I've got a price of £1100+VAT for the 40mm DMS golds.

I'm still waiting to hear if they have 50mm at a good price.

These are normally around £1600+VAT I think, so this is a BIG saving especially while the exchange rate is like it is.

If anyone is DEFINATELY interested, I can sort it all out. I need at least 5 people to get the price though.

Please mail me if you are interested and I'll get the ball rolling.

Cheers

Rich,

I have just received 20 sets of 50mm DMS that we use on the rally cars, however Jamie has sent me a set of 40mm Gold by mistake, if you just want one set I can do it for £1100.00 + VAT and save you the air freight and tax.
