Has anyone tried TSL's own coilover kit? I'm looking at spending around £800 on a coilover kit which needs to be fully height and damping adjustable.

Are there any other kits which do a better job for around the same price.

Haven't tried TSL own version, but have just ordered some AVO coilovers, front and rear droplinks and a rear strutt brace from them. Already got a STi front strutt brace. The thing I like about dealing with TSL (Paul in particular) is he's so honest. I phoned him to talk about my car, and he almost talked me out of spending shed loads of money, for no reason. I would strongly recommend phoning them and having a chat with him!!

I going to do what he said, add bits at a time rather go for all the above with all new bushes and anti dive, etc, etc.

Hope this helps, Phill

I had the Avo's put on my 94 WRX about 2weeks ago and I wish I hadn't,the car feels every bump, going to change to Koni's and some lowering springs instead.

nescoob,

If the car feels all the bumps can't you soften it a little mate ?? I must be honest that my car (on standard RB5 suspension) feels better across the bumpy roads then another RB5 (that my mates has got) running coilovers, but they are set to stiff and low

Did you play around with all the settings that much ? I know I'll be playing around with it for a few days before i get a ride that I like

When I first had them put on they were set to a high ride height and the dampers were on soft, I then lowered them slightly and adjusted the damper but it seems whatever setting I choose they still feel every bump so I have now taken them of and fitted Koni shocks with Whiteline lowering springs and they feel loads better.

After doing a fair bit of research I have come to the conclusion that you need to spend around £1200 plus to get a really good set of coilovers which work really well. Any opionions on Leda or Cusco?

I have AVO's on my P1 and have no complaints about them. If you feel every bump in the road, why don't you adjust the damping so its a bit softer...?

Cool

Have AVO's on my hill climb/road going STI V3 for about 2 years now.
You need to work hard to get the best from them. I would not fit them again!
Have driven my friend's RA with DMS gold and it is FANTASTIC!
Best settings for me are 8 turns from soft front, and 6 from soft rear. All depends on spring rates. I do not think AVO 'set them up' at all, all a bit of an ecomomy package I think!
Go for DMS or LEDA.....
Graham.
