Hi and welcome (I see you're new here)

Bumpsteer mod means two shims under the lower steering rack mounting points to achieve a certain angle in the suspension arms in order to dial out the bumpsteer on the car.

What model did you get?

The bumpsteer mod will diminish toe variation under front suspension compression.

You can read some more on it here: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=178940

or you could use the search function top right, but you will only find a question such as yours and then people replying "use the search function" LOL

Thumbs up

There is no kit; the mod consists of a very accurate 4 wheel alignment, followed by measurement of your particular car's bumpsteer. Appropriate shims are then chosen and fitted to the steering rack mounting points, then the whole setup is checked again.

As far as I'm aware the only garage that does this mod is Powerstation in Cheltenham. It takes about an hour and costs £120+vat.

I had it done on Saturday morning and it makes a big difference - understeer is greatly reduced and the straight-ahead floatiness in the steering is gone. The guys there are as nice a bunch as you could hope to meet, and if you ask nicely they might even take you for a spin in their demo STI 3 while you're there

A.

Good to see you found where your thread went! LOL

How do you like your car's handling? OK or too much understeer?
