4 door geomerty on a wagon.

Will setting up a wagon with 4 door geometry make any difference to the handling? EVO reckons the 4 door understeers less than the wagon, so is this due to set up or simply the wider front track? I know the wagon is set up to handle carrying heavy loads, but I only really use the extra space to fit in my mountain bike, and never really load it up so it's not much of an issue.
Any advice from other wagon owners would be appreciated.

Yes it is definately worth having your geometry set up properly on your wagon.
You say the track is narrower on on your wagon so i guess yours is an MY01 onwards. I have a an MY00 and wasn't aware there was a difference between the wagon and the saloon as far as front track goes on the classic. You can apply whatever settings that you call 4 door settings and have your geometry set to that.
The tolerance on the standard Subaru settings is very large so having it set up properly will make a huge difference wether its a saloon or a wagon.

Agree with Gary. Geometry made a huge difference cuopled with Eibachs and front strut brace. Since then changed droplinks, rear Whiteline ARB, anti lift kit and now have very controllable oversteer which suits me personally.

It's an 03 wagon, and according to the owners manual, the geomerty settings are different on the 4 and 5 door wrx. I know a local specialist has a laser alignment set-up so I'll see what they think.
Cheers guys.

Krud .. How much difference did the Eibachs make on your car, to the handling and ride, and also the ride height. I am concidering these also but have read a few conflicting reports.
Cheers

LB4 - Eibachs reduce the height by about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch.
They don't really make much difference to straight line handling, in fact quite a few people are disappointed that they don't make it into some rock hard rally car, and some even describe it as "wallowy". But on corners, their progressive springs do tighten things up nicely, so it feels a lot more secure.
