I'm wondering if many people here have lowered their MY01/2 WRX's?

My previous Legacy 2.5 was lowered with Pro Drive springs which made the handling sharper and made it feel more under control in the twisties. My WRX is great and all that, but I can't help feeling that if it was lowered a bit it would also get better and feel more direct... I suppose that the WRX feels a bit high up compared with the Legacy I had.

Anyway, is lowering the WRX likely to cause back injury - is there a way to lower the car and not have it too hard a ride for country roads??? If it's worth doing, are the Pro Drive springs the ones to go for or are there better ones out there?

Cheers!

:-)

Mike

PS. The car is not modded at all yet!

< Talks to self >

Have arranged to have Pro Drive springs put on end of next month - if it's a bad idea, please let me know!

Had my MY02 lowered with the new type of Eibachs - well worth the cash, the ride does not suffer much but the handling and looks greatly improve

Are they better than Pro Drives? I guess they must if you had them :-) How did you decide which ones to go for?

Cheers!

I've had my UK300 lowered using the Eibach Pro Kit springs, makes the car so much better to drive with only a slight loss of ride quality.

What made me decide on the them being fitted at TSL was they only charged about 50% of what my dealer(£940 if i remember right) wanted for the same springs. Bearing in mind you can buy the springs for around £150-£175.

If you are really woried about your warrenty go for the dealer fit if not save yourself a lot of money.
