I want to have my geometry checked on my 97my Turbo with 17 inch speedline tourismos and toyo t1s tyres as i think I am getting too much under steer at the moment.I want the prodrive settings on the car done aswell but there does not seem to be anyone in the North East who can do this so I phoned up my local Subaru garage to do this and they had never heard of the Prodrive settings before just the normal Subaru settings.Are the normal Subaru settings the same as the Prodrive setting or do they not know what they are talking about.Do the Prodrive settings wear out the tyres uneven and do you think the bump steer mod is better? My head is done in with all this geometry talk as you can tell so any help would be more than greatfull.

Regards

Roy.

Our recommended settings are in the WRSport Dealer reference manual that your dealer should have.

The figures are as follows;
Front
Max negative camber making sure this is equal both sides. On std suspension this will be a little less than 1 degree.
Tracking should be set to 1mm toe-in on each wheel.

Rear
Camber is not adjustable , tracking should be 1mm toe-in on each wheel.

These figures are within the tolerance range in the handbook and will give reassuring handling with minimal understeer and good high speed stability. They will not give increased tyre wear and depending on how bad it was before, this may actually improve.

Regards

Mike

Is this anything like the bump-steer thing, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I'll post up my geometry setup sheet tonight. It had the bumpsteer mod done at the same time. It's awesome now, before the changes it was an understeering pig (in relative terms)

Thanks Mike I am getting the geometry done at the weekend. I wish I could get the bump steer done but I live absolutely miles away from powerstation and to drive down and back would cost a fortune just for that.
