Forged EJ257 short block
I have for sale my forged EJ257 short motor
Full Spec:
EJ257 Block
Wiseco pistons
K1 H-Beam Rods
STI Crank
ACL Race Bearings
Balanced Assembly
ARP Studs,11mm used.
This was built by Alan Jeffry's just short of 3 years ago
It as only covered about 6000 miles in this time,
Over the last 12 months the engine has only covered 300 miles
I have been using the car at the PaceWard MLR sprints
Me and the car finished 2nd in class and 3rd out of the Subaru's
The engine has been running 487bhp at 1.5 bar of boost,
Engine still running strong at the last round before it was removed,
Finished 2nd at the final round,
Engine is been replaced with a new forged build, to cope with 700bhp
This is the only reason the old engine was removed, as it is only rated to about 500 to 550 bhp
You will require 2.5 heads to go with this
Or modified 2.0 heads,
£SOLD SOLD SOLD
Any questions please ask

Well plans for mine are a little more mundane than the time attack series, just track days and the odd trip to the ring. Not to say I might enter the odd sprint or hill climb I have a budget, but just not sure I can stretch to a new build just yet so this could be a happy medium.

Bez runs this with avcs heads mate, your heads will bolt straight on. Ideally they want the chambers machining to suit the 2.5 cylinders. It can be done with or without doing this, either way it's no big deal.

Chambers machining mate and that's it! Some people fit 2.0 heads to 2.5 blocks without doing it. So technically get the required thickness gasket to achieve your desired comp ratio. There for no work apart from fresh gaskets and fluids upon bolting it together.

Do the 2.0 heads have a better flow rate than the 2.5s?
I can't believe this hasn't sold yet? Mmm I'm tempted:-)

I did it on my phone, it can't of gone through,
As Joe says,
Just a bit of head machine work, on the chambers,
You would have to fit your oil pump from your engine, sump
The 2lt and 2.5lt heads flow just about the same, same size valves,
The arp 11mm head bolts are included,
Your cost would be very similar to the cost of having head gaskets changed to Cosworth ones, and the cost of the engine,
Hope this helps,
Bez

I have asked Andy, from Richard Henry Motorsport to
Let me know how much it would cost you to drive in and drive out with my engine in your car all mapped and ready
As soon as he lets me know, I will let you know
Banny, thanks for the info buddy,
