Default Andy Forrest 18G turbo (looking for swap)

Hi,ive had a change of plan and am now looking for a afp 16g turbo(or possibly a vf34)

i bought my turbo begining of this year off dawn, harveys wife and it was brand new never used.its a genuine afp model which harvey had took in exchange from andy.
fitted to my car and has done 3000 faultless miles since,so as expected is in great condition.like new really.its a non billet version and was mapped to 351/330 by JGM with my supporting wrx mods.
could see 370-380 on a fmic and ported headers no problem.

as said due to circumstance changes im looking for a smaller afp 16g/vf34 turbo,so i can max it and gain the spool up on my newage wrx.
as not wanting to push my engine to the limits.was planning on fitting sti8 bottom end(which im also selling now) and six speed but cant justify the money spending as im moving house soon.

so if someone has a 16g/vf34 looking for more power will be a perfect swap.
obviously im looking for a turbo in perfect condition like mine and no cheap sh*te ebay ones either thanks.

if i cant find a swap then this will be for sale shortly.
pics/graphs can be emailed upon request no problem
thanks

Won't be laggy if you're still on a tmic mate, in fact you won't notice much difference at all and with the 18g you'll likely get more midrange and top end.
Good turbo this I saw Simon mapping it.

Hello sivo, yeah im good thanks :-)hope all is good mate,it should do great on your sti, if you keep tmic id expect to see 370bhp,as your car runs sweet already :-) spools on mine at 3700, with ported headers and up pipe would expect It to be not much over 3000 at all.you have the standard 35 fitted to yours now right?

With Harvey headers and up pipe you'll trim about another 2-400rpm off the spool time depending on setup.
Re vf43 they're better for 2.5 engines - would be laggy on a 2.0 - Lee was offered similar and Simon advised him against it.

Free bump for a good turbo

Yeah 35 jake
So there is a chance I could compromise spool by going to the 18g or is it a completely different feel with the avcs ?
The vf35 is quite punchy and responsive but I would still expect Harvey's 18g to be an improvement ?

You would lose a bit I spool,as it is a larger turbo, that inevitable.but with the avcs it will be minimal and it will give a much bigger punch than the 35! Intact all this talk of power is making me want to keep it haha
And yes giles, would sort of be defeating the object of getting a smaller turbo if I went with a 43 lol

I'm running the exact same 18G bought from Dawn. I run harvey's latest headers and matched uppipe with 555cc nismo injectors and an STI8 TMIC on a 2.0 block. I get 1 bar at 3100 and 1.45bar at 3300. Mapped by Andy F.

An AVCS engine will spool even quicker than this with the same headers and uppipe.

Interesting, exactly the same set up as me,bar the harvey headers and up pipe( which are still sat under my bed! Lol)
And yours spools 400rpm quicker, so bang on prediction. What figures did you make out of interest?
Guess its on a wrx too.mine was 351/325
