SC36 turbo - 21k miles VGC
***SOLD SOLD SOLD***
I've got an SC36 turbo for sale.
It's done about 21k miles, and it's in VGC. It was bought sometime in the second half of 2010 (I have the receipt somewhere, although I cannot guarantee that I will find it in a timely fashion).
There's no shaft/bearing play (as you'd expect, this being a ball bearing turbo).
According to scoobyclinic, an sc36 has made up to 428hp ("using the right fuel"): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-BIL...-/220626741740
This turbo drives almost like a td04 - the car didn't feel "tuned" (i.e. lag and then a massive kick in the back), just like a really fast factory car with lots of low down torque, and also it didn't run out of puff at the top end
Price: 550 on its own, or 750 including a set of Lateral/RCM 3 bolt headers (as per this thread: https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-par...tors-rods.html)

I honestly don't know what boost the turbo was running, it was fitted to a bug eye wagon I bought a while back and I'm moving the engine into the track car.
It made 350hp, but I think this was on a conservative tune as the owner didn't want to push things to the max in case he broke the gearbox etc.
Here's a thread I with some initial feedback about driving it when I first got it:

Here's a thread where the old owner (malcb) posted some graphs (also with some comments from Engine Tuner):

According to the clinic website the sc36 is a 360 bhp turbo, sc38 is 380 bhp, sc40- 400, sc42-420 bhp.
Shame this has come up for sale a day before I go on holiday as I've been on the lookout for one and would have had it off you

The sc36 is supposed to be 360bhpmas you it says on there site but it normally ends up putting out 400bhp with supporting mods and a decent tune, there are numerous graphs about this turbo in the turbo thread and write ups about it if you give kev at the clinic a call he will answer any questions I'm sure, it's a fantastic turbo that has the competition playing catch up.
