I've no idea if it's a 5/6, I'll google and let you know. It was on the car when I bought it do unsure if it's genuine I'm afraid and yip its on my bug do a direct fit

I'd say its a V6 replica made for a newage,it won't be from a classic as it won't fit,classic boot lids are flat & newage boot lids slope down from each side.
Is it made from abs plastic or glass fibre?
