Gauging interest: 3" Milltek turbo back system with 3" Genome Sti backbox
As per title, I am considering selling my 3" Milltek turbo back system with a custom made 3" Genome Sti backbox.
This is the later style Milltek system that has a catless downpipe and the cat in the centre section.
It consists of:
- 3" Milltek downpipe (catless)
- 3" Milltek centre section with resonator and 100 cell sports cat
- 3" custom made free flow Genome Sti back box
£650 - no offers. If it doesn't sell I am happy to keep it.
It will cost more than 2/3 of the above just buying a Genome and converting it to 3".
The car passes MOT emissions with the above setup.
The Genome was cut open, all restrictions were removed and a 3" stainless steel pipe was used in it wrapped with metal wool wire followed by titanium cloth wrapping.
Before the conversion - 3" Milltek backbox vs 2.5" Genome backbox
Restrictors that came out of the Genome:
Free flowing backbox
Genome converted to 3"
The end result

I *think* about the same/slightly louder than a PPP system.
I had a Milltek backbox and replaced it with the Genome, there is less droning and sounds better now IMHO - for my taste anyway.
I'll get a video up when I get a chance.

Sorry I am not splitting this - unsure I want to sell it to be honest!
Btw it will fit a newage Impreza as well but the tailpipe will come out of the bumper by ~1.5-2cm (the Forester's bumper is slightly longer than the Impreza's).

I believe it will fit a classic as well but someone that knows 100% could confirm.
The total length of a classic and newage exhaust is the same but the classic uses a 3-piece system whereas the newage a 4-piece system (the downpipe of a newage is "split").
