Why in God name would you want to devalue it by making it a 2,1? Spec c crank fully balanced shortblock.

I don't no ? Just thought 2.1 engines were better for hp and torque
With the right modes what would this be capable of hp that is.

RCM car runs 800 as a 2.0.

Please elaborate, I also thought a 2.1 stroker would have been a logical step up, are they weaker?

I think the point he is trying to make is this is a very good engine already and would be pointless money spent to go up a mere 100cc.
Don't get me wrong obviously a 2.1 would spool a turbo slightly better and give a fraction more power/torque but given the small amount t doesn't warrant it on a cracker of an engine such as this.

sorry, trying to get my head round whats what before going down this route myself. obviously removing said parts just to put in a stroker would be a waste but just wondered what makes this a "cracker"?

The spec-c crank and cosworth pistons will be a very good combo and both proved reliable in big power applications and being in a CDB.

If I was looking for a forged engine I would snap this up but obviously would have a barter first

I'd say it would handle 550-600 with ease

Reliability issues would surely come into play with 600 bhp on tap, wouldn't they???

I'm afraid reliability issues come into play with any subaru engine running 600+ whether it be 2.0-2.1 or even 2.3,at that level it's more a case of when not if!

Is the crank 79mm? If so then it is a "stroker". IE having a longer stroke than the standard 2l crank. Any idea on compression ratio?

will have chat with enginetuner as was going to get 2.1 built by them but this may be easier way, only looking for 400ish bhp so perfect.if ok might have it mate and get it sent straight back to enginetuner.
