Smile EJ22T Long Engine - Big Power Build 2.5l (14mm stud, Billet crank)

Thinking on a change in direction for my car, so putting up my Long Engine for Sale.

It was built by Zen. (Paul knows this engine really well.)

Block:
EJ22T engine with under piston oil squirters.
It has been resleeved with diesel top hat liners and no gudgeon pin access holes to give a strong 2.5.
The crank is forged billet with twin drillings per big end, and stroked.
It has 14mm head stud conversion.
The Rods are PAR, Pistons are Cosworth.
RCM oil pump, Water Pump, Perrin Crank Pulley, few waterways, oil feed, sump and cam covers will be included in the sale.

Heads:
These are gas flowed with billet valves throughout, double sprung with custom retainers and top hats.
Heads will allow the engine to rev to 9k if you want to. Currently limited to 7500.
It has custom DH22 cams with Kent vernier pulleys, all kept in check with a Kevlar cam belt.

It has covered approximately 2000 miles since being built, running 400bhhp/400lbft at 1.6 bar.
Not been tracked / dragged since rebuild.

Engine can be heard running before removal in my current car, and deposit will be required before I remove it!
With a suitable turbo and ancillaries, this is easily capable of much higher bhp levels. (600+)

I am based nr J13 M1 towards Beford.
Cost to build would be +£10k - so £5500 o.v.n.o.

Speak to any Engine builder and they will confirm what a bargain this is.
Please no silly offers, I'm in no rush to sell.
Thanks for reading.

Hey Paul, Thinking of breaking the car but need engine gone first to make it worthwhile. Looking to get something German. If it doesn't go i'll be keeping her and fitting a sports cat. Still got your M3?

That'd be a shame Stu but I guess it's time for a change. Still got the M3 but I keep thinking of selling it because running it and the 555 isn't cheap these days and to be honest I hardly use it

Good luck

Seriously though you could sell on the other parts of the complete long engine if you only wanted the Crank...
