Ok .... thats not the holy grail long ratios, but theyd be more usable than my current jdm 6 speed ratios ..... mmmmm, tempting! :-)
Question though, are you sure the rear diff is a 3.54?????

If your car is a UK classic, simply use your rear diff/axle set up and sell the R180 rear diff on.
If yours is a JDM car, get a R160 uk rear diff and use that...

Tell me about it .... the term hens teeth comes to mind!
Am thinking the box and diff will boshty straight in, then i can sell on my current jdm box and diff with your prop and linkage.
Is 500rpm on the motorway worth all the faff though????? decisions decisions!
Where are you based?

about 3800 - 3900..... ish
The uk boxes are about 3400, and the hawkeye 2.5/forester sti box is barely tickling 3k!
Mine isnt the closest of jdm boxes though, theres the ra ratios that are right screamers!

will be running 450/450 with torque from tickover .... so yes, a tad frantic!
But, on track theres always a perfect gear available, and on the road block changes are fine!

Its got to be a bit more than that though as i was fairly sure my diffs a 3.9!
Like i said, ill get the car back in the next few days and then get the gearbox code to make sure!
As a comparison, cruising at 80 in 6th ..... what were the revs?

As I said, just swap the box and rear diff.
If yours is a JDM then your rear diff will be 3.9.
Can't remember what revs at 80, the car hasn't been on the road this year.
It is just 5th and 6th that are longer.
Don't forget the boxes themselves have a drop gear inside them, 1:1 and 1.1:1, though can't remember which way around.
