PPP Ecu MY99/MY00
Hey everyone
If anyone is interested then i will take this off my car and sell but i have a genuine PPP Ecu fitted to my MY00. This was a great upgrade for the price and the amout of power and torque gained.
It has all the relevant markings and im happy to take pictures if needed. Its currently in my car and has been now for over a year so its all working fine.

I just bought my first scooby today so please excuse my ignorance. It's a totally standard UK spec V reg Wagon Turbo. Is this ECU a direct replacement?
I think the car's meant to have 215BHP standard, do you know what gains would be expected with this ECU? Would I need to change anything else for it to work properly?
Cheers!

Dont worry about the question as we have all been there before... infact im pretty sure i asked the same question before i bought this but of kit.
Below if the information i just dragged straight from prodrives website as the PPP ecu is from 1 of their prodrive performance packages that certain cars came with as standard.
For your car this should be a direct replacement as with mine being a W reg year 2000 saloon.
This will take your standard car from 215 to 240 straight away and deliver more torque for sure.... the only other part they change for this pack was silicone intercooler hoses as this speeds spool up....... i also have a P1 top mount intercooler that i fitted at the same time that has the silicone hoses and is also slightly bigger than standard so gives a bit more power also as its able to keep the boost charge cooler and works great with the ecu ( happy to sell with the ecu if your interested for an extra cost.
Tuned specifically to improve the car’s performance
in real-world driving conditions, the Performance
Package boosts torque by up to 20% and extends its
availability across a wider rev range than the
standard engine.
Specially developed and only available for the ’99 model
year Impreza Turbo, this combination of enhancements
boost peak power to 240PS at 6,000rpm. Even more
impressive, however, is the 350Nm of torque available
from just 3,500rpm, a 20% improvement over the alreadyprodigious
290Nm at 4000rpm of the standard car. Such
is the impact of the changes that an engine fitted with the
Prodrive Performance Package will exceed the standard
car’s peak torque from 2,900rpm right through to
5,500rpm, providing startling performance in the allimportant
mid-range for overtaking and responsive driving.
like i said its direct plug and play bit of kit and you will feels the gains straight away. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the good response. I am interested.
One more thing - The car has an immobilizer, i think factory fitted and the key fob says Subaru. Would this be affected by an ECU change?
Cheers!

i believe that the MY99/00 were some of the only year cars that dont suffer from the need to change keys and fob.... i can assure you that when fitting to my MY00 it was a direct fit and nothing stopped working and i got no errors and have not suffered from boost spioke at all either and i drive the car like its supposed to be driven
