Default 04 UK STI ECU with ECUTEK licence

Taken off my 04 UK STI when I upgraded to Syvecs. This ECU has ECUTEK licence and would make a cheap replacement for anyone with blown ECU, or if you wanted to keep your original ECU unmapped.

£100 delivered, cheque or cash on pickup.

What mods were you running with this ecu?

And also who mapped it and is it locked to that mapper?

Thanks

The existing map wouldn't be safe on your car even if your mods were similar (MD321H, 650cc injectors, decat, FMIC). The ECU can be reflashed by another mapper over writing the existing map (Pat herborn did the last map on there).

AFAIK all the mappers lock their ECUTEK maps to stop others from pilfering their work

The map file stays on the mappers laptop, I think a binary is uploaded to the ECU and this can't be read from the ECU.

Excuse my stupidity but would this fit a facelift blob sti? Would it be a case of swapping with my PPP ecu (are they identical fitting?) and paying a remap session with a mapper of my choice?

It's off my 04 STI blob, not sure if it will work on an 03 STI but a mapper could confirm. If you've got an 04 STI, simple swap then re-map (it already has the ECUTEK licence). Then if you sell the car you can fit the PPP ECU back on
