V3, V4, V5 and V6 Intercooler Splitters - Great stocking filler!
Hi all, after spending a bit of time researching the airflow over my intercooler i came across a template for a splitter that significantly increases the efficiency of the IC and lowers charge temperatures (always a problem with top mounts).
I built one for my car (MY00) and had it fitted for several weeks to ensure that it fits and it does indeed make a difference to the charge temps - a measured 4 degrees has been routinely possible.
A Zero sports version of this costs £180 but i have had 10 made.
You don't have to drill anything and they just make use of two of the standard holes on the intercooler undertray which comes off in about 2 minutes. They come with the bolts required to fit and a set of instructions.
I haven't bothered with the STi stickers on the manufactured ones as it can't be seen when fitted

This is what the Zero Sports one looks like mate. It is a more integrated piece that completely replaces the undertray. It is easy to see why it costs that much to make but still a lot of money for the improvement.

The one for the Classic only has one spoiler in it, the same as mine. Sticker was from eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza...item35ae6b915c
PM me for payment details. Best wishes. Mark

Hi, interested in fitting one of these to my 2006 newage hawkeye wrx. Have a much larger hyperflow tmic to fit soon and the standard scoop splitter will definately need changing/upgrading.
Do you remove the standard splitter to fit this?
Looks good, done great job there mate!

This device puts a spoiler in the middle of the scoop airflow and forces air to the back and front in equal measure. This means cooler charge temps and subsequently more power. There are all sorts of figures out there about what a drop in charge temps does to power but needless to say it looks pretty cool and fulfils a function that can only make your car run better.
