hi mate, yes heads come complete, they are custom spec ground race cams, also vernier adjustable pulleys. yes they should work fine with a 2.0ltr engine, they do have the 14mm rcm wrc head stud conversion too.

hi, the head casings alone were £1000 + vat cams £600 + vat pulleyes £750 + vat then they had a load of machine work, ie porting polishing, bronze valve guides, head stud conversion, plus all the valves, valve springs, retainers, race plugs etc etc i dont think they are dear at the price i am asking fella, they only done 3000 miles so are still almost new. what was you hopimg to get them for? thanks dave

Why were the head casings so expensive? The problem you will have with these is most of the big power builds are now moving to AVCS equiped heads, especially since the Syvecs can easily control these, which makes even a well specced set of v3/v4 heads harder to value/sell. The 14mm headstud conversion also means they are not a drop in fit. What are the cam profiles.

hi arch, they where new casings from api, people wanting high power builds should be looking into 14mm head stud conversion anyway. why spent thousands on building a engine for the heads to lift off the block under high boost??? im not sure what profile the cams are i would need to speak to dave at api, all i know is they are custom ground race spec cams

hi arch, i emailed dave at api about the cams and this is what he replied,
dave, we were told by pat herborn who was involved with them- that they are custom grind from steve geary of SGM tuning.

wilder than DH22's which are the current fashion.

they were timed at 105 inlet & 110 exhaust.
hope this helps arch thanks dave

Hi guys,

I'm interested in these for my rally car build. Its a version 3 type R.

@ Arch - you say that these will not be a drop in fit because of the 14mm head stud conversion - what would i have to do to make them fit in that case?

@ StiDave - i wrote in your other thread in which you are selling a whole of stuff. Interested in a few other bits too. let me know mate.

Rgds,
Imran

hi imran, in order to fit the heads you will need the bolt holes in the block to be tapped out to 14mm which will cost around £150 then you will need the bolts and dowls which are around £200 all in!
i replied to your other post fella!
