Full Rear 2 Pot STI Setup
Rear 2 Pot STI brake setup, from a V4 Type R with 65 k miles.
Great condition and perfect working order.
Pretty much brand new Cosworth pads (suitable for fast road up to mild track work) and good quality OE discs which are again nearly new !!
190 delivered signed for. The disks and pads have seen a few hundred miles of road use only !

The P1 has r160 fitment rear hubs I think, and these went on r180.
I believe it is a case of some adaptor brackets ?
Will double check that tomorrow for you.

Those are Newage Blobeye WRX 2 pot calipers. The mounting points for the calipers are the same with R160 or R180 newage hubs and probably the P1 hubs. The earlier classic hubs I believe had different mounting points. You wouldn't normally fit the smaller WRX 2 pots to an R180 hub, it can be done but wouldn't make sense given the larger Brembo set up fits straight on.

Arch you mean by your comment that the above kit is for newage calipers?
Yes having read the link, that is what that part piehole suggested.
Mine definitely came off a V4 Type R which does have r180 rear hubs.

That's the kit I used to fit normal two pots and then at a later date Brembo calipers to my 1997 UK Turbo. I believe the P1 has the same standard 1 pot calipers as my car had from the factory.

This link shows that the brackets are needed for newage Brembos to fit the P1 so the same would apply to newage two pots as the share the same mounting points. I got this link from the P1 section of the Godspeed website and is the exact kit I have, including the big handbrake shoes.

No my point was firstly they are not STI calipers they are Newage WRX calipers. They will bolt straight onto Newage R160 pr R180 hubs but it wouldn't make sense to fit the smaller WRX calipers and discs when the brembo set up would fit straight on. I thought, but am not sure, that the P1 came with 2 pot rear calipers or was that the last of the classics?

You kinda muddying the water arch.
Only r180 classics aka type r/Ra came with 2 pot rears from v4+. Later used on newage wrx but on wrx sti type r/ra first.
To fit p1 they will need brackets and modified shoes or modified discs or newage wrx disc. If hubs were changed to newage wrx hubs brackets wouldnt be needed.

The Subaru 2 pot rear calipers were fitted to the Type R and 22b along with a couple of others , and also the 2001 onwards WRX , they are all the same caliper , identical bar either being red or black.
To fit them on a 4 door classic , you will need the mounting bracket we designed , you will also need 290mm 2001 onwards WRX rear discs as the handbrake is the right size to fit on the classic 4 door , the discs that come with the above calipers for sale will have come off a 180 back end so has the larger handbrake , 190mm , so to fit the above you will need the thicker handbrake shoes , or buy some 2001 onwards WRX discs as they have a 170mm handbrake so fit straight on the 4 door classic

Ian sorry but that is incorrect, my Blobeye WRX had the red rear calipers and the red fronts with the sticker and I have seen numerous others which are the same.
That said its not important, this is a good kit from a later Newage which is a good upgrade for a classic.
