Default Classic Impreza Sti V5 1998 - Pic heavy

For sale is my much loved STi V5. Work commute means a derv for me so its up for sale.

Full Engine Rebuild 02/12/13. All documented with receipts to prove and a warranty still.

Clean Subaru Impreza Sti V5.
MOT July 2014 Just put on 6 months Tax to take it to July.
Nice, almost standard, example of this classic Impreza.
103K Some in KPH and some in MPH. Based on old MOT's around 50K in KPH and 50K in MPH.
Some UK history including all old MOT's

Bottom end failed on 1/11/13 only drove 500 yards when it was turned off. Since then the engine has been fully rebuilt to the below spec on 03/12/13 and a recon VF30 turbo fitted. The engine has 6 months/2,500mile warranty but that is dropping as car in use and the turbo has 12 months. All fully documented.

Car Details

Serviceable crank
2x Serviceable V5 pistons (the other two were refitted)
V9 Rods
ACL main and big end bearings
Oil Modine
ARP Head kit
Cosworth gaskets
All other gaskets (inlet, exhaust, water pump, downpipe, uppipe etc) genuine subaru
4 cam seals
VF30 turbo.
PRF7B Plugs
15+ liters of oil to run it in.
Miller CFS 10/50 now in it
3 oil filters used for run in.
oil presure relocation kit
Rocker Cover gaskets done
Prop shaft seal just done.
New top and lower hoses in the last month.
Clutch in the last 12 months.
Cam belt in the last 12 months
New genuine MAF done last week
New disks and pads 1 month old

Mods

After market turbo back exhaust.
Boost gauge, Oil Temp and Pressure

Standard steering wheel has been refitted but the after market one in pictures will be provided but the boss is for a non air bag car so will put the airbag light and and the horn won't work, hence I refitted the original.

Bad Points
4 random Tyres, good tread but they don't match.
rear arches are just showing signs of bubbles. Arches still solid (see pictures)

Price, I'm looking to get as close to £5,000 as possible but open to sensible offers.

Hi fella I have a 07 Audi a4 s line estate 2.0 tdi 155000 motorway miles full Audi s history apart from when I bought I done servicing myself recent new turbo. Maf etc looking for a straight swap reason the wife uses it todo the school run only 10 miles a day and cause it is a 170 with a vgt and dpf it needs long runs or it causes problems with the vains on turbo sticking. Bad bits sometimes on motorway when I take out for a drive to clear it out goes in limp mode reset with key off then back on ok again but think it's because of the local runs arm rest worn alloys kurbing marks THE WIFE all serviced new cam belt water pump. New throttle body new all good tyres recent new window screen. In grey will send pics if intrested. Thanks Steve ps I use to be on UK legacy as well. Forgot to say also had new injectors and loom at Audi on recall

Thanks for the comments all they are appricated. Gutted I've got to sell it as in a perfect world I'd be locking the car away for a few years but don't have the storage and could do with the money to help boost the fund for its replacement.

One things for sure I will have another one day (Classic), I suspect it'll cost me more in 3-4 years time though!

Rebuild done by Andy at Rose Race Cars in Cheltenham. Came recommended and has done a good job on the engine.

I recognise your username, not seen you on UKlegacy for a while.

If you could send over some pics that would be great. Its a very tempting option. Ideally I was after a larger engine derv but am looking for an estate again. The only thing that worries me is the limp mode issue, I've purchased cars needing work before and It can be a pain. Any chance you could get the ECU read as if its going into limp mode it will almost certainly be throwing a code for something?

Might still be at this rate I'm asking a strong price, open to negotiation though, and I'm in no rush to sell so you never know.

Just fitted new O2 and new Walbro 255 fuel pump in the last few days Still care about it even though I'm selling it

I'd love to keep it but I'd want to dry store it so the condition stays top notch. With it just sitting for long periods outside it won't last and I don't have the space to store it

Sorry for delay, I'm not getting the email notifications when people reply.

Will take some more pictures tomorrow and post them up if the weather breaks long enough. Its just surface at the moment so if done within a year it should be a simple rub down and repaint.
