Default Classic (W reg) Wagon

£2600

95k full service history, although the service book has been lost, there is a folder of receipts accounts for everything from cambelt to tyre changes.

It has the normal marks for an older car, no damage though, wheel are in good condition, but to be honest I've never been a fan of the colour.

6 Months tax, MOT'd til Jan 2013.

Last service and health check done at the local Subaru specialist, including 4 replacement shocks, STI rear lights, mudlfaps and removal of all tango lights.

I had an issue with it catching going into 4th now and then under load. The garage had a look and it's not happened since, but I want to be completely honest, I don't want someone test driving and finding it has an issue I didn't describer. I drove it on boost today and it didn't catch once.

** ok tested this repeatedly, if someone takes the time to test drive this car and it happens, (it wont) I'll drop the price to cover a gear box rebuild, thats how confident I am.

Also the starter sounds like its catching when you startup cold. Warm it's fine and it always starts without issues, just like it continues to run for a second after you start it.

It has a nice little stereo with USB/Ipod connection.

All tyres have good tread and no damage.

Sports cat on down pipe and panel filter, as well as what looks like a white line rear anti roll bar.

Exhaust is average, not very loud, not quiet, just sounds nice.

The seats are for the most part in good condition, the back bench, one side has a small rip and they could do with a clean.

No rust anywhere on the car. Previous owner said the car had an engine replacement under warranty about 40,000 miles ago, I have no paper work to prove this, but according to the Scooby place it looks like it had some work and has things like "yellow injectors" ? Best bet is to call the place and have a chat if you need more information.

Would swap for something more family orientated .. would really like heated seats, sat etc, maybe an older BMW or something similar. I drive quite a bit and I'd like to be comfortable.

I'm happy to swap for something a bit more comfortable ..

I'm not too arsed about age, but I'd like Leather heated seats and Sat Nav, just for the hell of it ..

Drove the car everyday for the last week to and from work, the 4th gear issue appears to have gone completely, it didn't catch once.

The engine light does come on when it rains heavily though for some reason, the garage said its the knock senor, but on having that replaced it shows the same code, which they believe is due to the damp air.. I dunno ..

dropping to £2500, the engine is solid, no knocks, bumps or slaps.

Hey, ive got a 02 Honda Accord id be up for swapping.
Its a 2.0 vtec but more importantly it was heated leather electric seat, built in sat plus a load of other goodies and everything works!
Its currently on 107K miles but it is my daily. Very comfortable and quiet but with a bit of pep, let me know if youre interested.

I am interested mate, but I've no knowledge of Honda's and looking at adds I'm likely to be losing out price wise.

I had an offer on ebay of 2k that I turned down.

Well its up to you buddy but just to put it into perspective the Accord in the ad above has 10K more miles, is a auto where as mines a manual and mine has satnav, and that one is still asking for £2K so i dont think you'd be missing out really.

If you're still interested then drop me your number and i'll send you some pics at lunch.
