Gauging interested
my scoob - which i took on as a project.* Its started life as an sti 555.* I bought it - but wanted to make it into something a little "different".
So, I started with the paint.* The car has been profesisonally sprayed purple - its VERY bright in the sun and is almost a dark/blue colour in the shade.* Its very eye catching and does mean that the car outside is immaculate.
Then came the inside.* The seats are standard sti seats - i didn't actually get around to changing them.* However, everything else has been flocked
including the head lining, door cards, dash and centre console.* Again, this was professionally done - so its quite "different" to say the least.
Obviously, the engine was a huge part of the project, so here goes - It is now a 2 3.5 bottom end built by API. Has ported and polished heads with uprated cams.* 740 Injectors. Parallel fuel kit,complete with fully braided hoses.* SC46 turbo - only fitted last month and probably done less than 300miles.* K&N Air filter.* uprated oil cooler - can't think of the name LOL but cost me £300.* I am certain that there is loads I have missed.
Its got a twin plated exceedy clutch - again this has covered only about 300 miles - 6 speed gear box.* Simtec ECU with anti lag and launch control.
Brand new wheels and tyres with powder coated brembo's all round.* All the hoses are uprated and colour co-ordinated.* Everything under the bonnet is colour co-ordinated and uprated.* All seals and pipes were changed on the rebuild.
The car is currently running 414bhp - but is due to go in tomorrow (1st december) for a final map so I am estimating it to reach more 440 +
Taxed and MOT'd.
There are a few final things that need finishing off - just simple cosmetic bits that I haven't got around to putting back - like the vents in the dash etc.
