Default 2002 WRX STI PPP

UPDATE!

Hi All,

wow, I've had overwhelming interest in my car.

I didn't know there was so much demand for the STI Bugs.

Before i can sell, i need to find another car, because i drive to work.

I'll ask the mods to delete this thread, until I've found a car, then i'll will put together an in-depth advert.

Hi All,

I am contemplating selling my beloved bug STI PPP :-(

My son is now 9 months, and eating a lot of my salary, literally! I'm also driving to work 6 days a week, instead of my old 3 days a week! So fuel bills are going through the roof!

As much as it sickens me to think and say it, i think i need a diesel.

Before I put my baby up for sale, i'm wondering how much you guys think i should be advertising it for?

Answers on a postcard please!

76k on the clock, full service history.

Looks like a beautiful example! I don't want to say how much I bought my 02 STI PPP for as yours looks like it should sell for more. But all I know is, see if the budget can't stretch to keep it. Clean honest examples are becoming more and more difficult to find. Got any pics of the engine bay?

Looks like a mint car, how long you had it? Am sure you have already had a look at what else is about and looks in good nick but I've been on the hunt for ages and there is:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-SUBAR...item3cf72a9801

on ebay at the mo (although not sure this is actually a prodrive car or if it just has the wheels)

Hope this helps

Cheers

I really really don't want to sell it :-(

I looked at buying a cheap banger to get around, but the sums don't ad up when you add up double insurance, MOT's, etc.

I thought I'd ask how much people thought it could possibly fetch, I've read threads saying prices are going up, but also read threads saying prices have gone down.

I really wanted to mod it before selling :-(

I'll get some engine and interior pics up soon.

Hello mate,

I did look on Ebay, but couldn't find a like for like type comparison. Saw blobs, but no bugs, didn't actually see the one in the link!

Cheers.

Think i'm going to price it up for £5.5k and see what happens. I'll make an advert soon.

Cheers all!

That isn't a PPP. Wrong fog lamp covers, wrong wheels. Should look more like this:

I've seen average to decent examples going for £5999 (or thereabouts). But really depends on the condition etc. They are being broken left, right and centre, so if you were to hold onto it, it should hold its value, if not increase over time. Especially as more and more people are harvesting parts for the non-PPP versions

The bumper suggests its a WRX STi Prodrive Style. This was a variation of the standard STi launched at the same time.

Plenty of threads on here/Google about it if you search for "Impreza Prodrive Style STi".
For example:
http://www.carenthusiast.com/2001112...rxsti_sod.html

It was a standard MY02 STi, just with cosmetic additions so running the same power. The Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP) was not standard fit for this model and had to be purchased separately - you should have a certificate to confirm that it was fitted by a dealer.

Cheers
