My hawk sti was a 06 plate and on the cheap tax band!!

My mate has a JDM hawk STi and pays £140 a year road tax(yes £140) depending how big your budget is, I know he is thinking of selling!!

Yes that white hawk is a lovely motor, but im set on a black blobeye really, or maybe also consider a black hawk.

Bound to be someone about with a well maintained black blobeye, doesn't matter if its 03 or 04 either, as long as it has decent mileage and full service history. Thanks.

I couldn't imagine you would pick up a jdm hawk up for 9k, unless it was battered and had stinking mileage on it. For a tidy well maintained and low miles jdm hawk the bottom rate has to be around 12-12.5k.

For 9k I would be looking for a uk wide track blob but even they will be hard to find for that, as they are on the up in price.

With a 9k budget it is a pretty good chunk of cash and you will have plenty of options to look at. You could manage to get yourself a uk hawk sti only thing then is if you have blown all your hard earned cash on it you might need to find an extra 4-5k to fix the engine if it lets go. But then you could buy one and have no issues what so ever as plenty of people have no issues with them.

I wouldn't rush into buying the 1st one you see either. There will be one out there that will tick all the boxes its just a waiting game I suppose, also the longer your search perhaps you can increase your budget as time goes on.

Yeah, thanks for that, sounds good advice.
I don't mind waiting for a good one, black, probably blobeye and low miles with FSH....that would do nicely!
