Impreza STI Type UK - 420bhp For Sale
***** NOW SOLD *****
After numerous arguments with the wife about the car, I am regrettably putting it up for sale...
As I can't bring the wife round to my way of thinking regarding Scooby ownership, I've decided to sell the car to keep the peace...
Spec and pictures are below. There is an A4 folder of receipts, a few of which I've pictured.
2002 STI - TYPE UK car in blue.
72,000 miles - Full engine rebuild done in 2013 by GSR Services in Glengarnock, Scotland (see spec and pictures of some of the receipts below). I can supply a phone number for them if required to verify anything and I have receipts (some pictures below).
MOT until middle of July 2015. No advisories and passed this year without needing anything.
Road taxed (on cheaper road tax banding) until end of Jan 2015.
Spec:
UK car.
All of the above has been done in the last 18 months. I've a huge stack of receipts (see pictures) - over £12K worth I think, plus old mots etc and a stamped service history book plus original folder and manuals plus 2 keys and immobilizer fobs.
Car was built to run a lot more than the 420 bhp it currently runs but it is running a nice reliable amount. With a further remap, bigger turbo and injectors you could easily go past 500 BHP but the current output is more than enough I think. Car drives lovely, nice smooth power delivery, no nasty bangs or rattles. Clutch bites in the middle and there is no sign of any slipping etc. It's always warmed up and cooled down properly and only run on Shell V Power fuel by myself and the previous owners - I think I have a stack of V-Power receipts from the previous owners somewhere!
Car actually gets better fuel economy that the standard car if driven sensibly!
Paint work on the car is really good - a few stone chips on the front bumper and edge of the bonnet but that's it. There was a small dent on one of the front wings and there was a little corrosion on the other front wing and the rear arches and the paint on the bonnet scoop was starting to bubble a little. As a result, I fitted replacement front wings in the last month and had them professionally repainted and blended in along with having the rear arch fixed and the bonnet scoop repainted. You'd never know this was done and it looks great but I'd like to be as honest as possible about this sort of stuff.
Wheels are in great condition, no curb marks that I can see and the tyres are great too. Recently had a laser suspension setup to ensure tracking and geometry is spot on.
Full replacement set of EBC disks and Pads were fitted in the last couple of months too.
Just fitted a brand new set of Scooby World mudflaps in the last week as the old ones were looking a little tired and grubby (shown on some of the pictures).
Car is HPI and Finance clear (picture included of an HPI I've just done).
Timing belt done as part of the engine rebuild and fresh oil 2 months ago.
Finally, I'm located in the North of Scotland (30 miles South East of Inverness). Any questions most welcome.
Price-wise I'm looking for £6750 for the car which I think is a fair price which reflects the cars great condition and high spec.
I have a full set of 60 mm BF Defi Gauges (Boost, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure) and a centre mount, controller box and all wiring and sensors which I never got round to fitting which are also available for an extra £450...

Trust me, she probably wouldn't. Part of the issue is we currently have a Transporter T5, a Passat estate and an Audi TT as well as the Scooby! For some strange reason, she is not too happy about this, even though I keep telling her the 4 of them cost less than a new Golf GTI

What front splitter is that, do you have any clearer pictures of it?
