evening all, have decided to start gradually doing up my 1.5 impreza, now obviously i cant really do alot to the engine itself with it being non-turbo etc (and considering its not brilliant on fuel as it is i wouldn want to make it worse) im thinking of getting a basic exhaust tip to make it look (and sound) more than it is as it still has that telltale subaru burble which is far too quiet at moment for my taste, just wondering if anyone has any idea what sort of tip would fit without too much hacking

Years ago on my XR3i I had a 2 1/2" or 3" tip which was quite chunky with some sort of baffling in the tip, It stuck out so far I cut down the standard tailpipe so when it was attached it looked right, Halfords I think, that changed the sound slightly. TBO mate a tip isn't gonna make it sound much different if at all, if you want a cheaper option look for a used aftermarket back box.
