Default RA roof vent fitting guide!

Hi people

Wonder if anyone can help me? I'm after fitting a jdm roof vent on my 1999/2000 gf8 impreza uk I just want to know if I fit it will my standard roof lining accommodate the finishing trim after I remove the map light? I also understand I will need a metal bracket off the RA which I already have... Any information would be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you

It's quite an easy job but great care needs to be taken. Standard roof lining is fine it just needs to be cut to the shape of the trim. There is only a new age guide on here, but I found a classic guide on Type RA forum which is usefull. If youv got a full kit the bracket just bolts in.

Sorry, Iv just been on type RA & the guide has been removed as it was borrowed from another forum but I don't know which one. If you need it I'll post on type RA for you if you're not a member, I'm sure someone will remember the guide.

Here you go, similar process on a classic but use a 2-piece bracket rather than the single frame

Yes I can fit both classic or newage vents. I'm based in Essex if you require it doing.

Kind regards

Asked on type RA about the guide I used & was told it's on NASIOC. Had a quick look but can't see it. It's a bit of a treck, but If you don't fancy doing it your self RWS near Nottingham fit them for about £100.

I've had people travel from Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester and all sorts for work.
It's amazing how far people are prepared to travel.
Fair play to them
