Default Lamin-x'd fog lights WRX Blobby

Well hats off to Lamin-x as they sent me the wrong size originally and without quibbling sent me another set - so the original set will be appearing on a well known auction site near you!

I think I paid $20 delivered or £20 cant remember - but even £20 delivered from the states is pretty good imo and only took 5 days to get here

so before, during, finished shots for your pleasure

half and half ...

full ...

and before and after comparison shots

before ...

after ...

Sorry, but I fail to see any difference either.

The "foglights" in the title made me look specifically at those, but, apart from looking slightly darker, what's he done?

I think that's what it is. Tinted film on his fogs.

yup - I smoked the foglights - protects them as well as making the front end a touch moodier

as for using lamin-x in the states ... the uk company only supplies sheets of lamin-x for you to cut but the us company supplies pre-cut - i'm ****e at arts and crafts

I was going to go yellow to match my air-freshener

Out of interest, HOW does it protect them?

From muck, maybe, but not from flying pebbles?

It works the same as a laminated screen. If a stone hits them they won't shatter or crack but may still chip.

I'm on the lookout for some clear fog protectors for my Classic but may consider the lamin x film.

Sorry, but that sounds like hype.

It will still transfer SOME of the energy of any pebble collision through direct to the glass. The glass, therefore, may still break.

yes, small stones may not break them, but a bird's egg sied pebble still will.
IMHO.

The only covers worth having are those which are NOT in contact with the glass lens.

Lamin-x is pretty thick (compared with others) so should absorb some of the force and reduce the likelihood of breakage. Having lost one foglamp (£90) to a stone, for the cost, worth trying.

it's not hype - lamin-x is about 1mm thick and spongy - unless it's a massive stone it will reduce most breakages to a chip at the worst

I lamin-x all my front lights on all my cars
