Default Extra vents on bonnet

hi peeps

I was wondering if any of you fitted extra vents to there bonnets, for example the classic smaller vents? are there any Pro's and con's?

If any of you have got extra vents, any pictures?

thanks

Will

I swapped my 98 uk standard vents for 22B replicas.

Two years ago, I went back to standard.

In what way?

You shouldn't OPEN that vent as the ingress of water allows water to be sucked into the induction

I'm not thinking rain drops, I'm thinking water ingress at speed.........

Up to you, though.

Just remember that any liquid water sucked into the induction will NOT be good for the engine, water doesn't compress....

Remove the backing plate above the air filter and you actually increase the temperature in that area as the vent acts as a chimney and drags the air from around the turbo / down pipe.
