Orange wedges: what colour?

Orange wedges: what colour?
I've got a new 99 two slot bumper and grille for my car, a 98 model. Once I have had it cut to fit the FMIC, it's getting sprayed 559 Bright Red. The grille is already done and awaiting fitting, it was sprayed by Ryan, (Prodriverules), and a very good job he made of it
But what colour to paint those orange wedges? Red to match the bumper? Black? Hammerite smooth black?
I definitely don't want them orange, I'm not sure WHAT came over the Scoob designers for THAT one. Maybe it was the first rumbles of them getting the blobeye wrong and the hatch sooooooo wrong.
Anyone got pics of theirs? I found one last night of a nice P1 with black wedges.

I went for matt black, even with the orange front indicators (still trying to find somewhere with stock of the clear (not crystal) fronts) it already looks a lot smarter.
This is on my RB5 though, so not very helpful for red!
To be honest, they're dead easy to pop out so maybe try one of each then repaint the other?

The wheels are a sort of dark bronze, they are 04 WRX 17" ones.
I think I'll go for black, AFTER removing the present paint, so that when they DO chip, it won't be seen Thanks for all the info, guys.
grpbrallyfan: there are some clear indicators on e-bay, new stock, I was watching some for my new bumper, but it came with clear indicators, wedges AND foglights which I already e-bayed for £56, the whole thing only cost me £85.
