Default tint removal

The tint should come off in 1 or a few big pieces.Thats the easy part. It's the glue underneath thats the pain!!
supposedly hot soapy water works but i didn't on mine.I used nail varnish remover a little bit at a time with lots off patience!!

Use a hairdryer (on highest heat) bout 5-6 inches from the film, and heat until it starts to come away, it will heat the glue up aswell, making it easier to remove. Once you get the film off, if there is any glue left, re-heat and use a stanley blade or hot damp cloth, that should get you sorted. Hope this helps mate

just peel it off then get yourself 10 decent scraper blades, sharper the better and mr muscle for the glue. i did my front door windows today, takes a bit of time but got there in the end.

forget scraping or any of that abrasive stuff its not the way to do it and properly mullers rear window demister elements. The glue is easily removed with solvent spray and a soft cloth (yellow duster best). The best stuff i found was motorcycle chain degreaser (not gel type for obvious reasons!), but brake cleaner works just as well. Basically the faster it evaporates and the more it stinks the better it will work it seems! Pull off all the big bits then starting in one corner and working in 4-6 inch over lapping squares, squirt, wait 3 seconds (solvent softens glue), start to wipe off. It turns it to tiny bits that just fall off leaving the glass perfect. btw you overlap because the overspray starts to soften the next bit and it just works better and faster, try to do more than this in one go and you waste loads of solvent as it evaporates faster than you can wipe it and the glue sets again. If done properly the cloth will stay perfectly clean. Dont try to use household cleaners coz they dont work, this way I do a whole beemer in about 30 minutes including hoovering the bits up, and its no stress whatsoever
