Default Bugeye foglamp covers????? help!

Hi guys, soon back to the scooby world after two months of selling my classic and owning a certain sporty french car for a while, im soon to buy a 2002 buyege wrx. anyway, apart from other sti mods, only thing baffling me are the foglamp covers, i dont want the ones that are pretty much the same size as the lights, with the four screws on, i want the ones that are like panels and cover the entrance to the fog lamp hole, and they continue round the front bumper. would put some pics in but means i have to open up photobucket etc, lol

so anyone know where to get the longer covers from?

thanks

yeah, buy a prodrive bumper.

cant put them on a standard bug bumper. look in members gallery at frayz car and see if thats what your after. if it is you will need the hole bumper.

if you want something dif try these guys ETSRacing.com Subaru Styling Products GRP Manufacuturers, www.etsracing.com

subaru page 4 if i remember

yep, the prodrive bumper is completely different to the one you've got, good luck getting one as they're pretty rare to find going spare and usually cost a bomb.

you're better off just sticking with your current bumper and choosing a set of covers that'll fit it.

i agree with you about the ones you posted a pic of above (the black ones) - i didn't like them either so went with these ones instead:

Can still use the fog lamps too

They look top mate, only thing is the newage im buying is bright white, so could see the black mesh clashing with the coding...could i suppose spray the mesh white, but that would look a piece tacky! i guess unless i get a prodrive bumper then ill have to fit the ones in the top pic, with a nice bright sti sticker in pink

like your lights too but as i say with the white i dunno if theyd suit, as the standard look of the headlights compliment the car quite well, actually heres a front pic of the car anyway

de-tangoing the standard lights would look great on a white car

there's another variation on the black ones you've already posted in this thread that might look a bit better?

or another pic - http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/images/fogsna.gif

Scoobyworld sells them, but they're £70......

Covers cost a fortune ( £350 a pair ! ), but you could get a decent bodyshop to mess with your bumper so they'd fit ?

hmm steve those ones look quite nice as they have the two lines going through which matches the bumper... only thing is that id want a bright pink sti sticker would it go over the lines....ah id make it fit thanks for that info

yes will have to take those orange inserts out! Can remember a thread on here couple of months back about removing them, not sure think it involves a pair of needle nose pliers inside the light unit i can't remember, i'll have to try and dig out the thread

i think you're right - i've never had standard bug lights to look at cos the morrettes were already on my car when i got it. sure i read that you can break the orange insert up with pliers and then just shake all the pieces out

still, easier than taking it apart via the oven trick!

If you're talking about the ones on my car (rather than the ones i linked to) then i got them off a chap on here, second hand (already colour coded in WR Blue )

i've not seen them online at any UK shop, but i'm sure someone must sell them. i've only seen them on ebay from the US:

I had the same covers as Steve on my bug over the summer. You can fit them over your fogs without using any bolts, as they wedge in place after drilling out some slots on the side.

Now I've got some P1 style covers on.

I don't think so, but then again I haven't seen another green bug in Rutland, the only other one I've ever seen was in Melton Mowbray...

Any names?
