you will need

you have to cut the original metalwork behind the lights alittle then it all goes on

lol yeah
i bought the bug because it had no miles on it and an old boy owned it plus i knocked the dealer down 2k on the asking price lol
I have managed to get a full front end for less than £500 including a varis carbon bonnet !!!!
Not sure what im doing to the rear yet though

I'm considering this bug to blob conversion too, just wondering if anyone had any finished pics to see how well it looks before I shell out loads. Is there much work involved in the slam panel replacement and also the cutting of the metal behind where the new lights go?

A lad in one of the Irish clubs did the conversion on the front only and it looks good but he did it because it got a smack!
You may have bought it for good money but if you do the conversion would that not prevent you from selling it in the Future!
I'd get a MY02 Front Bumper and morettes before I'd change the front end all together!
I never liked the Bug until I saw the ProDrive style only last year for the First time and I went out and bought one!
I still wouldn't buy a standard Bug STi!
I think the ProDrive even looks better then the Blob MY03 STi that I had!

Sadly Andy Greers thread is no more.
I'm a bit stuck:
For anyone else doing this facelift, a couple of the snags we've hit today I will describe below...
Some help needed for bug to blob facelift...
I need to know whatever it is that allows you to mount a blob:
Other than obviously the correct 2003-05 bumper iron, what else is missing for the top of the bumper and grill to mount too?
Secondly
Also need one of each of these, they are push in front wing clips for headlamp, 2003-2005 I'm missing one yellow type, one grey/white needed
