Default removing classic side sills

its prob the easiest of jobs but how do u do it??? i dont want to go pulling them off wily nilly breaking the clips if its just a simple slide to one side and off? any help would be great thanks

ok underneath the sills you will see some screws...liberally spray these with some wd40 and unsrew them.
Next thing is to ease off the sills as they are held in place with 2 part clips. Be warned as they may break but you can easily buy some from a subaru parts dealer for a few pence, i ended up snapping about 3 of them but by the time i had prepped and undersealed both sils the new clips had arrived in the post ready for refit.

removed them with ease but found out they are all scratched one side where previous owner had obv ran over something, so now im lookin to buy some new ones.
can anyone suggest any good sills? and where to get them from? i want to keep the car close to standard as poss but wouldnt mind some one piece side sills but dont want it to look like somethin out of pimp my ride!

Japanese Performance Parts sell used OEM STi side skirts @£40 per side. But be careful with the clips, when i bought my car the previous owner had fitted bodykit side skirts and bonded them on. I am now about to refit the STi style ones and had to buy all the fitting clips....cost me £82 from the main dealer

£82 for the clips??? did u hunt on ebay? i just found some straight standard lookin side sills, one piece ones which are arriving ina few days, i will put them on the car before spraying and take some pics n see what ppl think before i go ahead as im a bit scared, dont want it taking away the natural scooby look

Yeah that was for the clips...didn't think about looking for clips on ebay.

82 quid..you were robbed mate, i payed less than a quid each for mine from a subaru main dealer..
