Default Fibreglass bonnet scoop

Just purchased an STI 8 replica scoop for my MY95, looks cool.
now, as its being sprayed as an add on to another body part being sprayed i want to prep it as much as i can so when i go can this be sprayed also,he doesnt have to do all the crap that goes with it.
i have rubbed it down, altho it was pretty blemish free to start with,as my cars white, is a white primer best, or stick to grey ?

also, any special type of primer for fibreglass ?

the underneath oft he scoop is not as smooth as the outside,u can see the fibres, anything i can spray on the inside of the scoop or shal i just primer and have it all sprayed as normal ? shwing side and underside ?

cheers

I have the same one on my scoob mate.

Did all the prep work myself and painted it.

Sanded it down with smoother and smoother paper.

Primed it with grey primer.... sanded it again then primed with a different colour - only so that I could see the all the bits were 100% smooth.

Priming your scoop in white would seem like a sensible idea... however, if they are spraying it white - then there is a slim ( really slim. Victoria Beckham slim) chance they might miss a spot.. and leave it as primer. If you prime it grey, then they can see all the spots they haven't sprayed.
Thats what I do

I didn't really bother smoothing the insides down... I could have put a layer of Bondo (P38) down and made sure its 100% smooth on the inside...

I doubt very much that gap filling primer will smooth it all out either!

To be honest, I'd just prime it and spray it - if you get around to getting an air splitter in there you wont be able to see it anyway!

I also put some mesh in the scoop as I didn't want stray sparrows being sucked in
