Mike will be along soon with his lawyers
I was gonna put some on mine, but the companies attitude to un-authorised use of their logo (ie - free advertising) put me off. A mate of mine was threatened with serious legal action unless he stopped supplying them so stuff 'em !

Say my name (and not necessarily 3 times, I'm not Zebedee!) and I will appear.
It's a bit of a tricky situation about Prodrive stickers.
We fully understand why people would want to put our stickers on their car, not least because they appear on the WRC cars as well as most other competition cars we prepare. What we don't want though is the sort of thing you see with various 3 series BMW's having an M badge on the back when it's really a 316. I'm sure most people have looked at just that sort of car and thought something along the lines of 'who are they trying to kid?
Advertising is always nice and we aren't complacent enough to think that we couldn't increase awareness of our company or our products, that's why most parts that we supply are branded in some way (spoilers, wheels, PPP exhausts, brakes, gearknobs, battery tie downs, strut braces, oil filler caps, seats, etc.) What we are trying to avoid is our logo appearing on cars that are fitted with parts that we haven't suppied (and yes, quiet a few people ask me for stickers to put on their car as they've got a PPP, wheels suspension etc, but we have to draw the line somewhere and have a policy we follow) We definately don't want anyone thinking that we are responsible for fitting faintly rediculous sounding dumpvales to anyones car now, do we.......? (not meaning to cause offence but in our opinion they do nothing positive for the car at all, just make a very silly noise )
The general policy is that we put some sort of sticker/badge on a car when it has a significant amount of our parts fitted and has been engineered by us such as WR package cars, 22B Type UK, RB5WR etc. I wanted to put a badge on the WR1 but it was felt that the bootlid was already a little busy and none of the existing badges could be removed, hence no Prodrive badge.
Regards
Mike

the reason why you don't want people putting a "prodrive" decal on are bit crappy "a M badge on 316" ,
We've had all this last year on the same subject and if that's STILL the only one reason you can come up with then it's a bit lame

...and the hapless moderator thought "oh gosh, not again"
Prodrive have made their position clear. From a trademark protection side of things, if they don't pursue infringment, they could lose the trademark.
Please consider Mike's word final on the official Prodrive position. It is unchanged over the years that this has been discussed.
I am taking the proactive decision to lock this as parties have had their say, information originally requested is here and, historically, these threads turn messy. Just search and you'll find some choice ones.
Drop me a PM if anyone feels hard done to.
Thanks,
Nick.
